I have no experience with dual channel RAM. What is the difference between
regular RAM and dual channel? Also, how does dual channel RAM work?

Physically nothing, the RAM chips are the same, and still follow JEDEC
standards, nothing seperates 'Dual Channel' Kits from 2 individual
sticks except that the manufacturer has made sure that they are the same
speed/timings and will work in a dual channel configuration together,
they then slap it in a box and charge a premium (I bought mine this way,
simply becuase of all the problems other P4C800 and P4C800-E users were
having with generic ram.

Now, for more information on DDR/Dual Channel/FSB and how they all
relate, here is a nice informative link:

It should help you with some of your questions.

Could you copy and paste what you wrote the last time because it removed it
and said that it was no longer available?

It's more or less a RAID 0 but with RAM. Meaning two sticks are accessed at
once, both at full speed, and sharing the load.

This means twice the theortical bandwidth of the RAM, but it's usually about
80% faster (which is still a lot).<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
