I've been looking on the internet for a few hours now...

I'm building a new computer, and thought I might as well get myself a proper
DVORAK at the same time. I type DVORAK well now, and want a keyboard that
can switch to QWERTY with a button press so my wife or daughter can use the
computer when needed.

I found a few nice Kinesis keyboards that will do this, but find it hard to
pay $250 for a keyboard. Although the ergo features sure look appealing.

I know I can switch the setting in the Keyboard menu on my PC, but I'd
rather have a simple switch to avoid the hassle.

Anybody know of a good keyboard that will do this?

Thanks.

What OS do you use? In Win2K the keyboard layout can be changed with 2
mouse clicks, or 2 key presses.

I'm using Windows Millennium, but will change to XP on my new machine.

How do you change on Win2K with 2 presses btw?

Control Panel -> Keyboard -> Input Locales.

Install more than one.

a) Tick the box at the bottom for getting an icon in the taskbar. Two
clicks to use it.

b) Set up hot keys. Two-Three keys to use it.

Hmmm... I just found how to change the keyboard on the ME system I'm using.
I set one keyboard as Dvorak US and the other setting as 101 Canadian
English. Left Alt+Shift then changes between the two. Cool!
