I thought that I read on a forum that there was another stepping? I know of
at least one retailer who sells Q6600's and lists G0 stepping CPUs at a $10
premium. <shrug>

Nice.

Very good indeed. A veritable supercomputer.

Hehee! Fair enough.

I'm ok with temps *in* the 60s now and then but not comfortable with
consistent high 60s or higher. As far as I can tell, extrapolating from the
data I have now on my rig, the only time it'll ever get to or above 66°C is
if I run TAT on the hottest days we have in summer. That's not likely to
happen. TAT takes it 4° hotter than Orthos, which takes it 12° hotter than
SETI BOINC. So I can BOINC all summer with no problem. Wink

Update: RAM is now running on a FSB:DRAM ratio of 2:3 (at 450MHz, DDR2 900
at 1.8V). I've just run Memtest for a couple hours and am happy that it's
stable. I'll do an overnight run soon. Damn good deal that Transcend RAM.

Oh, a correction to my previous statement above. I didn't use "the cheapest
RAM I could get", I got the cheapest 2 x 1GB dual channel kit that the
dealer I was at had. I could've got cheaper RAM but I never get the cheapest
of anything if I can avoid it.
