What is the best Asus board to use with this chip, my current p5n sli
won't work this chip according to the Asus website.

That would depend on what features you require.
Presumably as you have posted here you want an Asus board.
I suggest that you consult the 45nm motherboard support list and look for
boards that suitsyou requirements.
Then do some research on them.

I currently use the p5e, which although quite expensive for what you get is
a no frills board.
You see it lacks e-SATA which might be something you need
