I would like to update the bios in my 722-A2 motherboard to fix a
"memory size detect error" problem. My board is labeled "Rev 1.0A".
Both bios updates on the ECS website are for "Rev 1.0". Does anyone
know if these bios updates would be compatible with my board version
number? Thanks, Bill

I updated my bios today to 1.1B dated 9/29/05. It seems to be working
well on my "Rev 1.0A" motherboard and now correctly detects my memory
size. One thing that seems odd is that there is very little
performance increase when comparing my new PC3200 DDR memory to my
previous PC2100 memory. With the old memory I was getting a Memory
Mark of 285 when running Norton Performance Test. With the PC3200 I am
getting a Memory Mark of 291. I would have thoght it would have done
much better. Any thoughts on this? I've tried loading the "Optimized
Defaults" in the bios. I've also tried manually setting the DDR Timing
to 200 Mhz instead of letting it auto detect. I've got a 755-A2
motherboard with a Sempron 2800+ processer. Thanks, Bill

Also, I should have mentioned that you should purchase the 3200 speed
rams. Your motherboard can't run them that fast, but that's ok.
They will run at your motherboards speed just fine.
