I have a K7V Dragon Plus! (KT-266A) mb with an Athlon XP1700+, 2x256mb
Crucial PC2100 RAM and an ATI 9500 Pro. My question is, should the fsb
speed be set to the same as the memory speed? Say, set both at 140? Or
should I leave the memory at 133 and just adjust the fsb up for
overclocking? Any other settings that you recommend for overclocking? Tkx
in advance!

yeah best to run the two at the same speed, most efficient that way.
beware that if you go too high on the fsb that the agp and in particular the
pci bus gets out of spec, and you run the risk of corrupting data from the
hard drive. so much so that you can trash your registry ~ been there, and it
aint no fun lemme tell ya

the KT266A is a great chipset, but its not much of an overclocker like
the 333 and 400 are, since they usually come with a PCI divider that allows
one to set or lock the PCI bus while taking the fsb to 166, 200 or even
higher

What do you think is reasonable to set the bus to? What I mean is what do
you think the maximum safe speed is without running the risk of corrupting
data?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I run mine Xp1700 at 140 M, so at startup it shows 1800. No problems. I
didn't go higher, though.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
