I have a Gigabyte GA-7VRXP and I'm trying to figure out what the fastest
processor is that can be put on it...

Its a Socket A board with 200/266 MHz FSB. VIA KT333 Memory Controller.

It says it supports from 1.4 GHz and up. BUT, where does it STOP?

I've got 333 MHz memory in the thing.

I'm seeing XP 2800+ CPUs but they say they're "Barton" core. I don't know if I
can put one of these in.

I also see XP2600+ CPUs which don't say anything so I presume they're the same
as all the other Athlons from 1.7GHz on...

SO, what CPU chip CAN I put in here to get maximum performance?

Any CPU with a 266(133) FSB. Make sure if you get a XP2600 that it is 266 and not 333FSB. There are
not too many 266's left...

Is there some way to easily identify the 266 MHz ones? From a picture on Ebay..<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Found a bunch of 2400+ and 2600+ ones on Ebay... Decided that since the 2400
was a lot more overclockable I'd grab one...

Should be here this week and we'll see how it goes... If what I read is right I
SHOULD be able to get to 2600 speed and maybe to 2800...<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
