You clearly do. Most computers are still sold with a floppy
drive with the exception of laptops and notebooks.

that a real floppy drive is simplest with.

True. Some stuff does need installation from floppy
with no OS involved, it wasnt clear if that applied to you.

Yes, but it is the best approach with a desktop.

Nope, not with a laptop.
You can get USB floppy drives for laptops. Not clear
if that dinosaur will be happy to install using that tho.
