Hi Folks,

I am using a ECS L4VXA2 MB with Win XP Pro. When trying to boot from the
floppy drive to flash the BIOS I get a Disk I/O Error. I have tried this
with several different floppies, and a couple of different programs other
than the BIOS flash. Any ideas what would cause this.

Thanks

Mox

Can the floppy drive read normally?
Does the BIOS reflect the correct parameters for this drive?

If you are using known good boot floppies, I'd say the drive itself must be
bad. Check cables and connections.

Yes

Yes, as for as it being listed as a 1.44 floppy.

I have another computer that the floppies will boot to. Cables seem OK. Will
get a new drive and try that.

Thanks.
