Lock exposure on first image. May be called AE Lock in the manual.

Mount camera on tripod, adjust the tripod to be level and plumb in all
planes. Overlap the image about 10% for each exposure. Most panoramas are
shot left to right as seen from the rear of the camera (where you stand).

If the camera has a Panorama mode, use it. You may have to use the camera
manufactures software and memory card to use the Panorama mode. Olympus
requires their own brand memory card and software to make the built-in
Panorama mode work.

I think keeping the exposure the same throughout all shots is a must as
suggested by mark .One other thing if the subject is close ,for example if
you are doing a panorama of a room, moving parallel to each wall by a couple
of feet or so between each shot is a good practice.....mjh
