My parents just got a Fuji S3000 and we can't get the software to pull
the images off the camera. We loaded the same software on my brothers
machine running Win XP Pro with no problems, and I'm using my Fuji
3800 on Win 2K with no problems.
I've tried using the Fuji software, and just leaving the Fuji drivers
and using ACDSee to pull the pictures off, but when I am able to get
the pictures off, I never get the icon in the task tray to "disconnect
the camera".
Anyone else had any issues with Win 98 SE?

First : I think you'll find 98 and XP have slightly different "disconnect"
methods.
I use 98SE with my Fuji S602Z. When attached and turned on, a new disk drive
appears (open My Computer). I can copy, move and delete the files from this
drive just like any other. When I want to un-attach the camera I first close
any explorer windows, image browser etc. that may have been viewing/using
the files, turn the camera off and remove the cable. That's it, open My
Computer and drive has disappeared.
That's what it says to do in my manual and I'll note it explicitely mentions
the difference between 98 and XP and the fact there's some type of "Un
Mount" using XP that NOT required under 98.
