G400 DX9.0 problem

The only drivers you can get are from Matrox--nobody goes around writing
third-party drivers for video boards for any OS except *nix.

Now, that said, the problem is likely not drivers. DirectX 8 and
DirectX 9 have new features that only work if special hardware is there
to support them. The G400 is a very old board that does not have that
special hardware and so some of those features will not work. It's that
simple and all you can do about it is get a newer board.

Maybe because the G400 does not have any hardware support for Direct X 9.0
May not even have it for Direct X 8
