Hi there,

just built a PC using teh Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2 motherboard.
Everything running well and my only problem is that I can't install
the free Norton Internet Security 2003 software that comes with it.

Windows XP refuses to boot up after the installation.

I have just loaded an old version of NIS 2002 without any problems.
Has anyone else experienced problems with the Gigabyte free copy?

Thanks,

Harry

Mine works too, but I find NIS to be a pain in the butt - It
constantly plagues me with pop-up messages for the same port accesses
I've already told it to permit, and I have to disable it frequently to
get software to run. I'm going to replace it with ZoneAlarm + Trend AV
(the same as I use on my other systems) before the 90 days is up.

Your problem might be that NIS can't get internet access, so it's
hanging up in the startup process.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
