Having a problem with new home built system
Windows 98SE setup fails at the point "Windows is getting ready to run
for the first time " !!
Have checked Gigabytes web site and looked at MS knowledge base but so
far no joy.

Am running XP2500 (not over clocked)
512mb ram
80Gb Maxtor ata 133 drive
128mb FX5200 Graphics
CDRW and DVD

Any help much appreciated

hi

this board has usb 2.0 on by default and 98se dont make it! i found this out
the hard way trying to install xp (sp1 is a must). just disable usb or
change it to usb 1.1 only! be sure! disable all mb add-on that you dont need
for install.
