Post subject: Good tracking software?
Archived from groups: comp>sys>ibm>pc>hardware>networking (more info?)

I have a Netgear FR114P router. One of the cool features about this
router is that it will keep track of all requests (both incoming and
outgoing), assemble them in a report, and e-mail them to me. I liked
this feature because I wanted to be able to keep track of where my kids
go online.

Unfortunately, it turns out the requests listed in the report appear as
IP addresses. So to see where my kids really went, I need to type in
EVERY SINGLE ADDRESS to see where it leads. Tedious, to say the least.

Can anyone suggest a program that can translate these addresses into
DNS names, so I can see where my kids have gone without so much
time-consuming effort? Or, alternatively, can anyone suggest an
inexpensive and easy to use program to track my children's online
activity?
