Thanks to all the replies I got regarding my question about quality of
memory. I have decided on Crucial and am expecting the module tomorrow.
However I am now looking at graphics cards and have seen the following ATI
Radeon 9000LE 128Mb, DDR, TV Out Card. However I cannot find an exact
match on google or indeed at ATI's website for this item. Can anyone tell
me what the difference is between the 9000 and the 9000LE, and is it
suitable for a winXP home system. I have been told it does work on an XP
system but I would rather hear from some others before I make a decision.

Thanks

I built a projection system computer for our church (on an EpoX mb, XP1800+,
512MB, 80GB hd, XP Pro SP1) with a Sapphire Radeon 9000 (not LE) 64MB DDR
with VGA, DVI, and TV Out. Works fine. My computer (KT3 Ultra2, XP2000+,
512MB, 40GB hd, XP Home SP1) has a PowerMagic Radeon 8500LE 64MB DDR; it
works fine too (did have a little initial setup problem solved by clearing
the cmos on the motherboard and rebooting). The difference between the 8500
and the 8500LE is the LE is using a slower GPU (250MHz) than the 8500. You
have to understand that there are lots of people building video cards with
the Radeon chipsets just like there are with nVidia's chipsets. There are
many different configurations.
