46C while doing what? Sitting idle or encoding that dangerous 700mB video
file? Makes a big difference, believe be. My CPU temperature shoots up 10
degrees between idle and fully loaded and my system's cooling is quite
efficient. A system with an inadequate or badly-installed CPU cooler could
shoot up far more than that.
