My old camera, an Olympus 3mp had a Smart Media card and it came with
a card reader. I tried to use that thing and it wont read the SD
cards. How can someone get a SD card reader? I dont like using the
camera anyhow to download, it just wastes the batteries.
As far as Windows 2000, it is also no longer supported by this HP
camera. I am not willing to spend $1000 or more to buy a new computer
just to satisfy HP with their lack of drivers, and in all honesty, if
I had to use Windows XP or Vista, I'd get a Macintosh computer, or
give up computers entirely. I absolutely hate XP, plus this 1000mhz
PIII would probably not handle it anyhow. I got a computer to go
online, do word processing, and view my photos. Windows 98SE works
just fine for these things. I dont need all these high powered
computers and the latest OSs that are only made for people that play
games and want their computer to watch movies. I dont play games and
I have a TV for movies.
I'm still running the same installation of Win98 that I installed in
1998, transferred to 4 different computers since then. Everyone I
know that uses XP has to reinstall it every couple years, if a virus
dont wipe them out first. I dont need those hassles. Win98 has
become pretty safe from virus attacks and it's still the most stable
OS ever made by MS. Why would I want to install troubles and
problems, when I dont need all that power. It's just these companies
like HP that think we are all loaded with money and we all need power.
