Hi,
This may seem like a simple hard drive question, but .....
I'd like to replace a failing hard drive on my computer (Athalon).
However, when I look at IDE hard drives, they all indicate ATA-100 or
ATA-133. How do I know if the hard drive will work with my system?

I doesn't matter. Hurry, before is too late.
(Post your motherboard model/make, BIOS date - from power-on screen) >> Stay informed about: Hard Drive Question |

Chance are it will if you system is not more than, say, 5 years old. You can
download a trial versions of utilities like Dr. Hardware or Sisoft SANDRA
that will thoroughly scour your computers subsystems (video, hard drives,
audio, etc) and show you exactly what components you have. >> Stay informed about: Hard Drive Question |

Is that how far your knowledge/experience stretches?
