Post subject: Hard disk flashing

Hello, led my hard disk with flashing continues
A regular interval (about one second) even when not
There are processes that may be using.
The disc is a WDC WD2000js-60MHB1 (S-ATA 200 GB).
It is mounted on a card Asus P5B SE.
This manifests itself both with winxp home with 10.1 suse
Also awaiting login
Qualquno know recommend ...

Are you asking _why_ it is flashing? Do you believe that the flashing is
a sign of a problem? The answer is that disk accesses are perfectly
normal at any time -- there are so many processes running on any modern
operating system that _not_ seeing any would more likely indicate a problem.

If you go to the system's BIOS screen before booting do you still see
the flashes?

No , at bios not flashes!
I know that there are processes that work in background
But it seems to me odd that the LED flashes at intervals
Exactly regular and constant (about one second)
SO with two diverse as winxp and suse 10.1.
And also because a few days ago did not?

(Question from a million $ $ $ $ US dollars!).
