How does one tell how large a hard drive any specific BIOS
will handle ?
What is winXPpro maximum hard drive size for partitioning and formatting?

There is no easy way, the only real way is to try it.

Some stores allow you to return unwanted merchandise...
And might carry 400GB disks too.

Slipstream XP with SP2 though.

Around mid 2003 is when bios started supporting 48-bit (larger then 137GB
hard drives)
Some programs out there test bios for 48 bit support.
