Boot with the old (PCI) card as the primary display, go to device manager and remove all the video adapters.
Shut down and reboot to the BIOS screen, and select AGP as the primary display.
The system should now come up in horrible VGA 640x480x16 colours.
If it's XP, it should detect the AGP card and install the drivers automatically, if not, you'll need to go through the driver setup.
