I'm trying to suspend to RAM my system but everytime I put the system to
standby it immediately comes back up. I can hear the HDD and fans power down
but at approx 2 seconds everything powers back up.

I've selected S3 in the BIOS, selecting S1 seems to work but I'd like to
shutdown the fans as well. Am I missing something??

Thanks

My Specs

IS7 (latest BIOS)
P4 2.6c (stock speed)
512MB PC3200 (generic) 3, 3, 3, 7 (dual channel)
WD 100GB and 80GB IDE drives
BFG 5900nu (flashed w/ 5950u)
Hauppauge PVR-250
SB Audigy Gamer
Windows XP MCE 04

it is going into S3 standby but something is waking it right back up. you
will need to disable things like mouse wake from standby, LAN wake from
standby and so on until you identify what is waking the system up.

Sounds to me like you may have set your NIC to permit wake-up w/o allowing
"only management stations to bring the computer out of standby". Either that
or some application in the background is waking the system (ICQ, fax, etc.).
