Hey folks,

I just ran FlashMenu for my IT7 and it found an E8 BIOS revision. I
can't find anything on any Abit server about this revision. All downloads
point to D7. Anyone know anything about this?

Dave

Hi Dave -

Check here: http://fae.abit.com.tw/eng/download/bios/it7.htm

Release notes:
1. Update CPU micro code.
2. Add new options 80/85/90 degree C in "CPU Shutdown Temperature".
3. Change the default setting of "CPU Warning Temperature" to 85 degree C.
4. BIOS compile date: 07/15/2003.

It's far from new, but I seem to remember seeing that it's been listed as a
"beta" release for some time.

Thanks for that. Always visited the Yankee site instead of the Taiwanese
site. I see the HPT controller got a lift. I went ahead with this BIOS
install and updated my HPT driver and noticed a "slight" throughput in
RAID0, at least according to Sandra. My two 2MB Seagates apparently have a
throughput similar to SATA150 in RAID0. Can't beat that....I guess.
