This is a whole new ball game . I've never seen so much space in Photoshop !
Anyway, what I would like to ask is this....
Iiyama recommend a resolution of 1600x1200 at 100hz refresh rate. I'm using
an ATI Radeon XT and it is capable of that setting, but if I use it,
everything takes on a blurred look. Icon and text in particular. If I set
the refresh to 85hz, it's much clearer.
Is this a graphic card driver issue or is something up with my new baby Sad

Thanks

There is no good reason to run refresh rates of 100 Hz.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

The higher the resolution and refresh rate the higher chance that the signal
can degrade from RF interference. A graphics card that gives a clearer
signal, like a Matrox card, would help. A better quality monitor cable
could help slightly, but the one supplied by Iiyama should be top quality
anyway. As long as your refresh rate is above around 75Hz you won't notice
any flicker, so just run at 85Hz

It could help if you were taking photographs of the screen, or if you were
recording it with a digicam for some reason.

Thanks for that. I was just trying the recommended settings.
The cable supplied looks to be quite good.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I guarantee you that a Matrox graphics card will give you a clearer picture.
I run my Iiyama VM Pro 510 at 2048x1536 @85Hz. I do CAD work and have 20/20
vision. I'm a resolution junkie.

It could well be my next purchase then. I'm currently in transition from PC
games junkie to Photoshop junkie Smile
It must be old age or something but games just don't do a lot for me
anymore. Except NHL 2004 !<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
