Just received my mother's machine to "fix" her problems. First thing
I've noted is that the BIOS has the onboard sound and nic disabled
(both were in use when she last shut down). As well, the floppy drive
has been marked as none.

Now given that she didn't go into the bios at all, any thoughts on
this? Is this a warning sign of more problems to come or just a bad
battery?
