-K7Y DRAGON Plus and USB 2.0-

Is there any way to upgrade to USB 2.0 on this main board? Or do I have to
buy a new motherboard? Are there any other solutions for me?

Thanks for Any Replies.

Sincerely,
Easily Confused.

One approach would be to purchase & install a USB 2.0 card in one of the PCI
slots.

Some people have reported difficulty installing these cards. If you do
buy one - try installing in PCI slot 4 or 5 first.

Wal Mart has a good buy on an NEC chipped 5 port model, about $28. Might be
easier than bothering with waiting on eBay and then paying freight too.

Already messed up and bought a via based USB 2.0. The thing
runs at USB 1.1 speed. Been reading allot on the net and
every one says I should have bought a card with a NEC chip on
it. Damn I wish someone would have warned me prior to
purchasing.

On a side note I think it sucks that you have to down load
the service pack just to get the 2.0 drivers for XP. MS is
really starting to get on my nerves with all there end user
agreements.

Question: Now that I have the 2.0 drivers on my PC, Is there
anyway I can back up the drivers so that if I ever do a
system restore, I won't have to DL that god awful SP 1.0
again?<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
