Want to put a faster AMD Athlon into my PC. What's the highest spec
CPU that will work with the MSI KM4M-L? The manual says 2800+, but
that info's several years old.

Also wondering about memory upgrades.

For that matter, with an older board like this, I know it can only
handle AGP 8X. What's the best thing that £100 (about $200) can buy
in the video card market at the moment?

Probably a Nvidia based 6800 128mb. The 256mb cards start out a little
above the $200 range. Many of these 6800s can unlock pipes to emulate a
6800GT

Ended up with a Leadtek A6600 GT for £85+tax. Came with Splinter Cell:
Chaos Theory.

Any more powerful and the cost gets much higher. As well, my 300 watt
power supply isn't well regarded for the 6600...I can only imagine how
the 6800 would have fared.

I'm surprised more people haven't tried the AMD Athlons in the 3xxx
range on this board. If I'd had the money to burn I'd have tried one.
Bought the Sempron 2800 to play it safe. Works like a charm.
