MSI KM4M-L opinions - Hi all, What's the general opinion of ths board? Good spec for £43 but is it a good deal. Is the graphics good enough for a small , Email, Word & No Games. Has anyone tried it? Is it reliable? I've not had an MSI board... usually..
MSI KM4M won't boot - Can anyone help? I've been to build a system for a friend with a new MSI KM4M-L MicroATX board, Athlon XP 2400+, 2 x 256MB PC-2700 DDR. When powering up the board, the CPU fan starts up normally, but there is no output to the monitor either via..
KM4M-L problem - My system's power supply (Antec 300 I replaced the defective power supply with a good supply, the machine turns on only long enough for the CPU fan and case fan to begin to spin. Then power goes away. The system is a MSI KM4M
MSI KM4M-L CPU upgrade - Want to put a faster AMD Athlon into my PC. What's the highest spec CPU that will work with the MSI KM4M-L? The manual says 2800+, but that info's several years old. Also wondering about memory upgrades.

I have a KM4M MSI board, When i got home today the computer was off,
when i try to boot it up, all i heard was BEEP(2-3
Seconds)...3-4seconds...(Beep 2-3 seconds) ETC.. Everything is
spinning HD's Proc Fan.. etc.. plus i dont have my mainboard book
anymore i misplaced it, what is the problem.. i need this computer i
have so much important info on it.. thanks - Seth.. if you have any

Also check the capacitors around the CPU socket - are the tops bulging or
leaking goo? Common failure point on older MSI motherboards, if this is the
case you either need a new MB or someone to replace the caps for you. Just
done the same on a Gigabyte 8IR533 (11 of the sods!) which is now working
fine, and had the exact same symptoms as yours.

used it in the faulty computer, and it did the same thing, i went
back to my brothers computer and replace the ram i took, and his
wouldnt boot up now also, is my mobo killing my ram? >> Stay informed about: MSI KM4M-L , Got home today... =( |

I guess it's possible although I have never seen it. Do you get any beeps?
You should be getting one long beep for memory error. It will even do it if
no memory is installed. You should make sure the memory is seating
properly.

Ok Well the problem with mine is fixed, i just unplugged the surge
protector from the wall, and rebooted and all is fine, but im still
have a problem with my brothers, its basicly doing the same thing as
mine did, but different beap cylce.. he has a asus board, and
occasionly when i turn his on after trying to diagnos the problem i
hear a "beap.. 2 sec delay then BEAP BEAP BEAP".. real fast... i put
