Hi all,
What's the general opinion of ths board? Good spec for £43 but is it a good
deal. Is the graphics good enough for a small workstation , Email, Word &
internet.... No Games. Has anyone tried it? Is it reliable? I've not had an
MSI board... usually stick to ASUS.... Appreciate your thoughts.

I have one and it's working great. Nice workstation for email, etc. Running
a Duron 1.3 on it. Right now I'm using PC133 ram, but planning to upgrade to
DDR soon.

I'm using that board in my system. Athlon XP 2500+ Barton with 512MB of
PC2700. I've had no problems with it. Primarily run browser, email,
word processing and spreadsheet. No games. Using all onboard options
(audio, video, network) with no problems. Performs fine, although I'm
not too concerned with getting the greatest performance (I replaced an
AMD K6 300MHz with this in September 2003).

AFAIK it does not take non-DDR RAM as indicated by another poster. I
think he may be confusing it with a KM2M.

I have built 4 MSI motherboard systems over the last 2 years (2 6340M
Pro 5, a KM2M and this KM4M) with no problems.

Thanks for your comments. £43 seems to be a bargin. I've been using an ASUS
A7N266 for a few basic system builds over the past couple of months but the
supply has run out. This MSI board looks to be far more up to date and
retails for the same price. DDR333 and XP3000 CPU which is ideal to upgrade
to later. All I'm looking for really is reliability.
