Is there a known problem when using pide and sata hard disks in a system.

I had a problem in that windows xp is installed on drive c (piade) and data
resides on drive d (sata). With sata connected the computer would take three
or four attempts to boot (windows would load then restart once the desktop
had appeared), and would also restart every 30 minutes or so, if I was
lucky. I changed memory, power supplies, and chips, originally a 3700+ sna
diago core, then a x2 3800+ dual manchester core, same problem with both
chips. Out of desperation I disconected the sata draive and everything seems
fine!

Any help would be appreciated.

After much eresearch it would apper to be nVidia Network Access Manager
being the problem.

This problem also exists on the previous mb I waas using ASUS A8N SLI if any
of you are interested, which from the lack of posts I don't think anybody is
out there.

Hi,
I just ordered the KN1 Extreme without SLI, because itīs of no use for
me. Still waiting for it.
I also heard that there is a lot of trouble regarding the network
manager i.e. active armor feature.
Allthough I am looking forward to receiving this board!
