I have recently purchased a KT4V-L mobo.

MSI KT4V-L
AMD XP2400+
512mb PC2700
MSI GeForce4 M440 (AGP)
Phillips CD-Rom
Seagate 40gb ide hdd.

When I put this machine together, the monitor came up saying it was
receiving no signal, when the MSI card was in place.
I swapped this over for for an old PCI graphics card and it appears
to boot up.
I have changed the BIOS settings so that AGP is the primary display
driver, but still nothing.

I have ensured the card is seated correctly, also testing the card in
a different machine.
The card works so therefore I'm coming to the conclusion the agp slot
itself must be at fault.

How likely is this? And are there anyways of testing it, short of
buying a new agp card?

Thanks

Nick

You've already mentioned you tested the AGP card in a different machine,
successfully. I would say the AGP slot may be bad. Call whoever you bought
it from to find out about returns.
