Recently the 2nd computer started to need 2 or 3 tries to boot. The keyboad
lights blink continuously and the screen says "no video signal." Sometimes
killing the power and retrying gets it going on the 2nd or 3rd try to today
no go.

Tried a different video card and didn't get the "no video signal"
message (in fact got no video at all) but the keyboard lights were blinking.
Once it boots, it runs fine. I know the caps are bulging and one of the
voltages fluctuates. Could it be that the m'board has finally given up the
ghost?

One other thing, even though there's no video, the hard disk light is
blinking like there's something going on and the m'board LED reads FF.

Thanks.

{shakes head}

You better shut it down before it does damage (or possibly more damage)
to anything connected to the MB (disk drives, video card [perhaps it
already took one]).

What do you think???

With bulging caps on the MOBO surely you already know the answer to your
question.

You guys were right. I guess I was just hoping against hope that it was
something simple. Swapped m'boards and all is well (other than the tedious
task of updating the OS after the repair install.)
