I have a new 19" LG LCD Monitor on the way that has both analog and
DVI inputs. Right now I'm using a Matrox G450 video card (with only
analog outputs) with a CRT. I got the Matrox because I wanted the
best 2D display, and I've been very happy with it. I never play
games and I don't care at all about 3D.
I could buy a cheap video card with a DVI output for the new monitor,
but I'd rather keep the G450 if it will continue to work well with
the LCD monitor.
Has anybody compared a Matrox card with analog outputs to a different
card with DVI outputs on the same LCD monitor? How did they compare?
Would a cheap video card (< $50) with DVI look better than the G450?
As I understand it the quality on the newer LCD monitors should be
the same analog or DVI, as long as the monitor can adjust to the
correct sync rate for the analog signal.
