I had a Dell laptop that was severely damaged in a motorhome fire. I
removed the hard drive which seems to be relatively undamaged except for
smoke damage. Assuming that this thing is hermetically sealed, I would
like to try to recover the data on it. I was wondering if there is a
way to do this on a desktop computer? Is there a possibility of
obtaining an adapter of some sort that will accomplish this task? Any
help will be greatly appreciated. Please reply to my e-mail address.

Thanks

yes, there are adapters to do this. Look for 3.5" to 2.5" harddisk adapter
