I have a Chaintech 6BTA3 motherboard with the latest BIOS update
(dated 28/12/99) and was wondering if anyone knows what is the largest
hard disk drive that's supported by this BIOS version? I do know that
the previous BIOS version (dated 13/5/99) only supports hard disks up
to either 32Gb or 64Gb, which I discovered upon installation of my
80Gb HD. Unfortunately Chaintech's website is not very forthcoming
with supported HD sizes for their BIOSes.

I am now looking to buy a 160Gb HD but am unsure if this BIOS can
handle it. I am also running Win98 SE, although I don't anticipate
any problems there as I there weren't any issues when installing the
80Gb HD.

If anyone can offer any advice on this matter I would greatly
apreciate it.
Thanks.

You are the first person I have ever seen mention that board. I have one
running a P3 450 and I do video editing on it. What a board ....very very
slick and fast.

I too have an 80gb drive and I too wonder how far you can go....chaintech
support in holland is very good and quick to respond so why not ask them and
post the reply here....just a thought?

I ask them too many questions so I have to break for a while he he!
