Hi. I am going to install a new hard drive in my mom's computer. She has
a BX system with an MSI 6163 Pro motherboard. I have been told that the
BIOS limit is 60 gig with this board. My question is, can I buy an 80
gig drive and use FDISK to partition it into two or three partitions and
use it that way or do I have to use an overlay program to accomplish
this. I am trying to avoid using overlay software if at all possible. I
would use a promise card but she is out of PCI slots in this system. Any
help here would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The manufacturer of the harddisk (samsung, seagate, ...) might have a
solution for such a problem; a program that helps you see the whole
disk - if your first approach doesn't work.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

If you use the latest BIOS from MSI, it should support hard drives up to
128 GB.
