I think you mean "`", right ?

-> Alt Gr + 7 and then sometimes SPACE (when it's treated as a dead key)

Note: it is not used when writing in French.

It is printed on the "7" key. "Alt Gr" is the first key on the right of
the space bar. If that isn't enough, I'd suggest you to look for a
picture of such a keyboard.

I have no english keyboard to compare with mine, but you should be able
to figure it out yourself with what follows.

I told you it is printed on the "7" key and accessible through the
Alt Gr + 7 combination. With the usual mapping, there is no single key
that produces a "`".

On the layout represented at

<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://tgrauss.free.fr/clavier/keycodes/keycodeconsole.gif" target="_blank">http://tgrauss.free.fr/clavier/keycodes/keycodeconsole.gif</a>

(which shows a keyboard with 105 keys as usually used in France
nowadays), "Alt Gr" is number 100 and the "7" key is number 8. You have
to press key number 8 while holding key number 100 in order to produce a
"`" with the usual keyboard mapping.

I hope you got it now, because I cannot make it clearer.

Thanks but in fact I need to check a photo of an english keyboard in
order to locate the "`" (left single quote).
I already know where is the "`" on a french keyboard as I own a french
keyboard.
