Hello

I've got a Linksys Router with a port that will only support 10mb [half or
full dpx]

My diagnostics so far

1 - Tried hooking different computers to bad port
2 - 30 sec reset
3 - Full reset i.e. push reset button for 30 sec on > the 30 sec off >
repower continuing to hold reset for 30 sec. [know it worked cause went back
to factory default password]
4 - Upgraded code from ver 1.40.2 to 1.46.02

Port still will not snyc at any 100mb setting

Anyone else have this experience and is it fixable via software?

Thanks for any help or advice

Terry

It is normal for the Linksys BEFSR41 to only do 10 Mbps on the WAN port. I
doubt your internet connection is anywhere that fast. The LAN ports should
be 100 Mbps full duplex. I just replaced my Linksys with a $7.99 Airlink101
router due to conectivity problems and it does a better job than the Linksys
ever did.

Only one? If wiggling the connection won't fix and you need all 4, it is
time to buy a new router or buy a switch to increase your connections. Check
around for a new router as they are cheaper than a switch..
