Is there anyway to set the 'F' Lock off by default on the Logitech Access
Keyboard? Everytime you reboot the 'F' Lock sets back to ON and disables
the function keys. I like the rest of the keyboard except for this
"feature".

TIA

Hi Wendi,

I found a note on the logitech website about this.
Was in dutch; roughly translated:

For wired keyboards:
The F-Lock key is always turned on when starting the computer. It is not
possible to change this but you can force the F keys to use the normal
functions by setting them up with 'transparent use'" (or something, don't
know how to translate that to english)... should be some option in the
i-touch configuration panel.
But if you do this, the secundary F key functions can't be used at all
anymore.

The site also states that the wireLESS keyboard will remember the last used
setting of the F-Lock key.
(probably until you change batteries, but there's no mention about that so
that's just a guess)

regards,
Marcel

I believe Bob Hope has a patch that will "fix" this issue by making the keys
work regardless of the status of the F-Lock key

The technique I use to solve the F-lock problem is as follows.
Assign each of the corresponding keys to be a "keystroke" of their own number. For example I use I touch to change the "NEW" command to keystroke F1 (remember to use the auctual button and not F+1), then no matter the F-lock setting F1 will be F1
Hope this helps.
