If it loses time only in Windows XP, then I would guess that some program or
power management setting is causing the problem.
Since you run "net time /set" to synchronize your clock, it sounds like your
computer is on a network. Is the network set up as a workgroup or as a domain?
Do you have a domain server or a time server on that network? If you go to
Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Event Viewer --> System, do you see
any warning or error messages pertaining to "W32Time" or "Windows Time" on the
right-hand side?
