Lost sound in Shuttle SB61G2

I have a new "20th Anniv./Reflexion" Shuttle. Has the onboard
Realteck AC97 audio. I've had this system less than a week and my
sound has ceased to work. I can put a music cd in the DVD/CD-ROM
drive, connect a known good speaker to it through the jack on the
actual drive and hear music. However, no sound whatsoever from the
front/rear ports. Has anyone had this problem? If so, is there a fix
for it?
