Post subject: MS-6380 Problems and BIOS update
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard (more info?)

I have a K7T266 Pro (MS-6380) MSI Mainboard.

Has anyone updated their mainboard's BIOS to version 1.9? If so, what's the
stability of your system like now? And did you have any problems with the
mainboard prior to this, such as the hard disks and/or CD-ROM drives not
being recognised in the BIOS sometimes, etc.?

Is it worth updating my MS-6380 mainboard BIOS from version 1.4 to the
latest version 1.9? Or could it cause me even more problems? As my PC
constantly seems to suffer from the problem of it not recognising either the
hard disks, CD-ROM drives on the secondary IDE cable or both.

Finally, can the BIOS be downgraded from 1.9 to version 1.4 if the latest
version should cause any more unwanted problems?

Thanks

Andy
