MS-7246 975X Platinum with PCI/PCI-E RAID Controller

Post subject: MS-7246 975X Platinum with PCI/PCI-E RAID Controller
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>msi-microstar (more info?)
BIG Problem with the new MSI board!!


The 975x Platinum will not boot (the board does not recognize any of my
two RAID controller)

1. PCI Promise Fasttrack 150 SX4
2. PCI-E areca 1210

The MSI Board only search for it's own S-ATA P-ATA ports. The boot
sequenze does not show any additional RAID controller cards


What can I try to solve that problem?

Are you sure the drivers are loaded for your other controllers?

To build up a RAID Volume, the controller BIOS must start up, with
booting the PC. Therefore no drivers are needed.
