Forgot to mention that he's running Windows XP Home.

My brother has had a wireless network set up between his Sony Vaio
laptop and his DSL connection using 2Wire equipment. All was well
until he installed the latest MS Hotpatch to take care of the security
issue with that latest virus. Now he can no longer connect via the
wireless card. Using the wired Ethernet card works just fine and his
desktop PC works just fine as well. He spent quite a bit of time on
the phone with Ameritech DSL, 2Wire and Sony and every says its not
their problem. The issue seems to be that the MS Patch conflicts with
the 2Wire card. Has anyone else had similar problems or know how to
fix this? If so, please post a reply. Thanks much

I have been unable to uninstall the hotpatches with either the
add/remove hardware feature or system restore. It seems that the hot
patches interfered with the ability to uninstall themselves.

Help!!!!!
