HI all,
I own a Soltek SL-75FRN - RL. I've just upgrade from an AMD 1800+ to a
2600 and a Geforce 3 to a Geforce FX5600 ultra. Everything ran well
after th upgrade, so I decided to also throw in some DDR400 as the
board supports it....so the book says. I rebooted the system set
advanced bios options to optimal (no overclocking) then proceded to to
boot into WinXP. After Windows loaded, the pc rebooted itself then
totally refused load the operating, just a continous loop of post,
reboot, post etc.
I've now gone back to DDR266 with no problems.
Could someone out there give some ideas please?
Thankyou
Phill

The PC3200 RAM you purchased is defective?
If the only thing you changed is the memory, I'd be RMA'ing the memory.
If you have a second PC, or a friend with a PC where you can retest the
memory, that would add corroborating evidence.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Major problem with DDR400 ram |
