I've been reasonably happy with it, but I suppose it is getting a bit
old. I'm thinking going from 1GB to 2GB would help my photo
processsing, but without opening the case I don't know what's in
there. The last time I looked, though, I think there were 2 memory
cards.

Is there anyway I can tell without opening it what's there and what
kinds of DDR I need?

I went to the shuttle site, but none of the models have what my
computer says I have, the G5 8300G WCG. What is the motherboard
designation for this puppy, is there something in the control panel
that will tell me?

Specs for the memory? Lots of places sell DDR, but even if I open it
and take them out, I'm not sure what I'm looking at in order to figure
out what I can replace them with.

Any help most appreciated,

Brandon

Have you tried http://www.crucial.com/ where you can choose to have
your system scanned for the type of memory you have and the upgrade
options that are available to you - all without opening your box? even
if you don't plan to buy crucial ram

HOT-569 and Memory - I've got an older HOT-569v2. It currently has 64MB (EDO). I'd like to add more memory to it (yes, I am aware of the 64MB cache limitation), but all I can find is PC100 or PC133 memory (no more PC66 around). Can I use PC100 or PC133 memory in this..

SN41G2 and memory - I just built a SN41G2 for my grandaughter. It has an AMD2500 barton and all seems fine after a few goes at getting the cooling right. Problem is with the memory. With 512M pc2700 Crucial ram it works fine. When I added a 256M strip of same ram in second...

Unrecognized memory - I just put together an SK41G system with one 512MB stick of Mushkin PC2100 (DDR266/133Mhz) RAM. I initially had trouble getting everything working, what with bad cables, incorrect jumpers, and other things, but I eventually got most everything working..

what type of memory - Hi, I have a SN41G2 and having some problems with 3D games. (I have a RADEON 9200 card) I am thinking of changing my PNY memory. What type of memory is best? Corsair? Crucial Kingston? Computerzeek
