Had is strange problem installing Win2K on the GA-8IK1100. This is a
brand new system so I set up the RAID 0, boot the Win2K Pro CD, Hit F6
to install the Intel RAID driver and the system proceed to partiton.
format and installed window with no problem. Upon reboot after
installing. It ask for a SP1 CD (which I don't have as the Disc is
before SP1 came out) so I just cancelled out. I then install the
Gigabyte chipset driver, reboot and install the Intel ethernet driver.
Upon reboot it has a message that "Winlogon.exe is missing a link file
txfaux.dll in system32". I proceed to setup my network connection (it
works) and use Windows Update to download service pack 4. Reboot the
machine afterward and the message still popup upon reboot. Anyone seen
this? I have other machine running WIn2K Pro with SP4. Can I just copy
the txfaux.dll from one of them and place it in the system32 folder?
Regards
John Yuen
P.S. I have tried re-installing the Gigabyte chipset driver, Intel
ethernet driver. I also installed DX9, the sudio driver, the USB 2.0
driver and the videocard driver. Everything seems to be working though
