Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>abit (more info?)

After 15 months my NF7-S v.2 won't boot up anymore. :/
Last week I relocated my PC and when I switched in on again everything
worked
fine. But after an hour or so, it freezed.
Now the only thing I get is the orange LED on the board when I connect
it.
After switching it on, I get this two-tone siren mentioned on the ABIT
forums (continous high/low beep tone), but I already ruled out
the possibilites described here:

"A two-tone siren, generally caused by overheating or out of
specification
voltages."

I didn't change the latter and I already tried another (450W) PSU and
another CPU (Athlon XP 3200+) with a new cooling device.
I tried the minimal configuration, but nothing happened, when I hit
the
switch every cooler starts for a mere millisecond and then I get this
discouraging beep code. Sad
CMOS clear didn't help either.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance,
Masor

Check your memory if it's properly seated.

didn't even use SATA :/
installed everything over and over again with different components, i
suppose it is really nothing left besides the possibility that the
board is broken<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
