Post subject: Several NF7-S v2.0 Problems (AGP, etc...)
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard (more info?)

Hey everyone. I am having problems with the computer I built a while back.
I have an NF7-S v2.0 board flashed to the latest BIOS, and for some reason
I can't get my AGP port to work right. I have a Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb video
card but can't get it to work in 8x AGP mode. I set up 8x mode in the BIOS,
but for some reason on SmartGart (the display properties application that
comes with the card) it shows that I have it set up as 4x. When I use CPU-Z
and Wcpuid (two system information applications) they don't even show that
the AGP port is enabled. Also, I get crappy scores on 3dMark01. Another
problem is that I can't get fast write mode enabled. When I set it using
SmartGart and reboot, it goes back to disabled even though I set it in the
BIOS also. I have tried formatting several times, all with the same result.
I have also RMA'ed my video card, so my video card is new. Also, I looked
for any conflicts in memory addresses and IRQ's and there were none. Does
anyone have any ideas?

My System Specs:
Win XP Pro
Abit NF7-S
1gb PC3200 Kingston ValueRAM @404mhz
AMD XP 3200+ @2323mhz (202x11.5)
Audigy 2
Seagate 80gb SATA
Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb
Mitsumi 52x24x52 CD-RW
Sony DWU-10A DVD-RW
Generic 450 watt Power Supply
Generic Floppy
